What was your first job?
Candy Production 

What do you do in your current role?
Ovens, set-up for finishing, mixing for finishing butter and sugar, scaling.

How/why did you begin your career in manufacturing?
I worked at a pizza shop first, I worked at a candy shop for 4 years and then I started with the bakery I’m currently in my 6th year.

What is your educational background?
Homeschooling

What do you like most about your current position and work you are doing in manufacturing?
Being able to help my fellow teammates and be of assistance as needed to help continue making the company thrive. 

What is the biggest thing that surprised you about manufacturing when you started working in the industry?
How close you can get with your fellow team members and provide good ideas or a positive culture in it. I used to be very shy before working in manufacturing, it’s definitely opened my eyes to a lot of things even if it’s just talking with a coworker.

What is your #1 piece of advice for young people to prepare for a successful future?
Don’t give up and follow what you feel is right. Strive to be the person you want to be. The road is long and hard, but with perseverance you will achieve your goals.

Why should someone consider a career in manufacturing?
It is a good way to make connections and learn trades, you usually wouldn’t have known to exist.

What is something you enjoy doing outside of work?
I enjoy playing board/video games, listening to music, and collecting items.
