How/why did you begin your career in manufacturing?
A combined ability to make physical products while problem solving in a dynamic atmosphere.
What is your educational background?
Bachelor’s Degree
What do you like most about your current position and work you are doing in manufacturing?
I enjoy seeing a physical product come from the work I do every day. I like that improvements I make to the process means more kits that go out to our patients.
What is the biggest thing that surprised you about manufacturing when you started working in the industry?
The amount of regulation there is and how much of it follows a specific set of rules.
What is your #1 piece of advice for young people to prepare for a successful future?
Believe in yourself! There are a lot of people out there who will tell you that you can’t achieve something. Successful people tend to believe in themselves anyway!
Why should someone consider a career in manufacturing?
I really enjoy building Ikea furniture. If you do too then manufacturing might be for you. Bonus points if you enjoy finding ways to build it faster with no errors in assembly!
What is something you enjoy doing outside of work?
I enjoy watching and playing sports. My favorite sport to watch is the NBA and to play is tennis. I recently started watching the show Survivor and I am a huge fan.
