What was your first job?
Cashier at a grocery store.
What do you do in your current role?
I assist and support the Safety and HR Manager. I am responsible for recruiting, new hire orientation and onboarding, the wellness program, and more. I also support safety by training employees along with identifying and mitigating workplace hazards. I am also President of our Safety Committee.
How/why did you begin your career in manufacturing?
I began my career in manufacturing because I studied Safety Management in college. Being involved in safety pulled me into the manufacturing environment right away because they go hand in hand.
What is your educational background?
Bachelor’s Degree.
What do you like most about your current position and work you are doing in manufacturing?
What I like most is all of the people I work with. I always know I can ask anyone questions and get any help I need. I also like learning about different manufacturing processes and seeing what I learned in school applied to the real world.
What is the biggest thing that surprised you about manufacturing when you started working in the industry?
I was most surprised about all of the details and processes that go into producing products.
What is your #1 piece of advice for young people to prepare for a successful future?
Do not be afraid to ask questions.

There is always room for growth and new things to learn every day.
What is something you enjoy doing outside of work?
I enjoy trying new recipes, going on walks,naps, and spending time with friends and family.
