National Manufacturing Day
National Manufacturing Day
Do you love technology? Do you like to make things? Are you fascinated by how things are made?
If you said yes to any of these questions, then make your future in manufacturing.
Today’s manufacturers are looking to fill 4.6 million high-skill, high-tech and high-paying jobs over the next decade. Many of these jobs don’t require advanced degrees and significant student loans. They are also in very diverse environments – from manufacturers of all sizes, companies that make products for manufacturers, and organizations that offer training for manufacturing careers.
Interested in getting involved?
National Manufacturing Day events happen all over the state all month long! Teachers, students, and members of local communities have the ability to attend these in-person and virtually.
There are many events that we will promote including our own. Stay tuned! We will announce and promote via our blog and social media channels.
You can also visit the national MFG DAY website and the Creators Wanted web page to see videos, resources and events being offered around the country.
Our 2020 Virtual MFG Day
Last year we held a virtual “Manufacturing Week” that consisted of panel discussions, scavenger hunts, game play, etc.
Although it was not our normal MFG Day celebration, it was still very successful!

MFG Day 2019
The 2019 MFG Day event took place at Mill 19 in Hazelwood where Catalyst Connection and the ARM Institute are located. The event consisted of a manufacturing career panel discussion, an interactive area with robots and the Carnegie Science Center’s FabLab, and a vendor area with local manufacturing companies, post-secondary schools, trade programs, and other workforce partners from the community.
It was a great event with 6 local schools in attendance and 100 students!
